Biography
Cornelia Steckhan-Horn
Cornelia Steckhan Horn – Corky Art, conceptual artist
Artist from Munich Germany.
Cornelia Steckhan Horn is a German artist living in Munich – Germany and Imperial Beach – California.
The German artist’s seemingly simple paintings reveal an incredible sophistication that expresses her emotional experience over physical reality.
After a successful business career, Cornelia took up art late in life and her paintings show her subjective emotions and reactions resulting from her personal experiences.
With her expressionist paintings, she made a huge impact on the art world in a short space of time.
She created and used a new painting trend of Cosalien (Cosmos+alien) (patent protection exists).
The term futurism comes from the Latin futurum (future). The artist breaks with everything she sees as outdated and traditional. She tried to set a new artistic trend.
Futurism rejected the old ideals of beauty and sought „its“ ideals of beauty in speed and dynamism, the cosmos, aliens, futurology and science. If we look at her new pictures, however, we see a completely different cosmos. It is a cosmos in development, in constant change, an open cosmos of infinite diversity.
Cornelia travels a lot to absorb the art and architecture of different cultures. She is a conceptual artist, abstract painter and photographer who is inspired by colors, patterns, textures and light.
She is not confined to one genre. Many ideas and concepts grow in her head.
For example, the protection of the environment and wildlife, the universe and aliens, faces and eyes, landscapes and many others.
Thoughts that she takes with her from her travels and brings to the canvas with every brushstroke.
With great success and recognition, Cornelia also gave painting lessons for older people and children in California, even for autistic children. She enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm with which even handicapped children worked.
